The service area of West Knox Volunteer Fire
Rescue is part of two counties, Knox & Laurel.
The following are the limits
of the service area in Knox County:

In all cases, the area
begins at the City Limits of Corbin and consists of all areas of
Moore Hill (KY 830) & KY 3041 |

It extends 3.6 miles out KY 3436
to Liberty Baptist Church (Including Liberty Baptist Church) and extends out Young’s Creek Road to
KY 3041. |

• |
It extends out KY 3437 to Candle Ridge
Church Road then 1.75 miles on Candle Ridge Church Road (Ending
at the end of Engle Farm). |

• |
It extends 4.45 miles out Rossland Road
(South KY 233) to Lowe Cemetery Road. |
| |
• |
It extends 1.5 miles out Arkle Hollow
Road to the second railroad crossing. |
| |
• |
It extends out Johnson
Hollow Road to KY 1232. |
| |
• |
It extends out US 25E to
Vickie’s Hamburger Stand. (Including Vickie’s and the road) |

• |
It extends out Keck Church Road to
the Junction of Higgins Road & Middle Fork Richland Road. |
| |
• |
It extends out the following
roads to the Laurel County Line: Sam Parker Road, KY 233, KY
830, & Buffalo Branch Road. |

Then with the Laurel County
Line back to the City Limits of Corbin. |
These Boundaries are by mutual
consent with the following Fire Departments:
City of Corbin,
Woodbine, Bailey Switch, Campground, & Lily.
The following are the limits
of the service area in Laurel County:

The area begins where the
Laurel / Whitley County line joins the City of Corbin and
extends along the Laurel River until it crosses I-75. |

It extends North on I-75 to
the 33 mile marker and South on I-75 to the Whitley County
Line. |

From Cumberland Gap Parkway It extends out
Hwy 3431 1.5 Miles to the junction of Warren Chandler Rd (NCR Rd)
(Does not include Warren Chandler Rd) |

From Hwy 3431 It extends out Dorthae Road
1.9 Miles to the Railroad Bridge. |

From Hwy 3431 It extends out Powers Lane .35
Miles. |

From Cumberland Gap Parkway It extends out US 25

Horse Creek Bridge. |

From Hwy 25 It extends out KY 2392 to
Horse Creek Road (Includes both sides of roadway) and out Horse Creek Road to Spring Cut Road. |
